- The financial and operational impact of fire on businesses
- Understanding fire detection, alarm systems, and early warning procedures
- Types of firefighting equipment, including correct selection and safe use of fire extinguishers
- Key fire safety legislation and employer/employee responsibilities
- Ensuring clear and accessible escape routes are maintained
- Responsibilities and duties of a Fire Marshal before, during, and after an emergency
- How to prepare a Fire Marshal ‘grab pack’ for use in evacuations
- Communicating vital hazard information to emergency services
- Recognising and assisting individuals who may need help evacuating in an emergency
Assessment: The course requires learners to sit a multi-choice consolidation assessment.
