Carly
I have over 11 years experience working within health & safety, starting my career at eighteen years old in the offshore renewable industry as a health & safety administrator. Since then, I have progressed through various health & safety roles, such as Coordinator, Advisor, Senior Advisor, Manager, Consultant & Trainer. Over my career, I have worked in a variety of industries such as manufacturing & utilities, but construction is where I spent most of my twenties sharpening my health & safety competence. Additionally, I am an auditor & regularly carry out health & safety management system audits for businesses of all sectors.
My bread & butter is working in & around the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM), as well as supporting construction site teams with their health & safety processes, practices & improving their culture.
The part I love most about my role is how diverse my working week can be. One day I can be teaching health & safety in the classroom, the next I can be inspecting a construction site. No two days are the same.
Some people call me hyperactive, others call me insane. I love anything to do with sports & competitions. When I am not working, I am either swimming, gymming, running, competing, hiking a mountain, or on my paddleboard. If I’m not doing any of those, I will most definitely be down the beach with Lola, my four-legged best friend.
Coffee. Although most say that my coffee is more 90% milk, 10% coffee. Two sweeteners please.
I was on the TV show Tipping Point when I was 19. I may not have won the jackpot counter, but I did win a boujee radio, which still proudly sits in my office.
Louise
I began my career as a Photographic Technician, editing images for a local newspaper, before building a diverse professional background across roles including Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, plus positions within PR & Marketing. This varied journey ultimately led me into Business Management, where I have now worked for over five years.
In my current role as Business Manager, I have developed strong expertise in both training & business operations, with experience across the corporate, charitable & private sectors. This enables me to take a well-rounded, practical approach & consistently deliver a high standard of service.
I enjoy supporting the team, improving processes & building strong relationships with our clients, all while contributing to the growth & success of the business.
Whether it’s running, walking, or exploring new places, I love keeping active. I’m also a big fan of 90s party nights, dancing & enjoying good times with family & friends.
Morning coffee, afternoon tea. My recipe for getting through the day.
Back in the day, I was a bit of a raver & was even asked to be a dancer at a club in London.
Beth
I have over 15 years’ experience working across HR, logistics & offshore crewing roles within the offshore wind, oil & gas, plus marine industries. Over the last few years I have moved into a dedicated HSEQ focus, including my role as HSEQ Advisor & now providing consultancy support. My background in HR & operations gives me a well-rounded understanding of workforce management, competency requirements & the practical challenges teams face, which I bring into my health & safety approach.
Developing & improving HSEQ management systems, producing RAMS & supporting documentation, incident investigation, plus promoting a positive safety culture. I also support businesses with competency & training requirements, compliance, policy development & integrating HR with HSE processes. I have particular experience within offshore wind, marine & oil & gas environments, & I enjoy working closely with operational personnel to deliver practical, workable solutions.
I enjoy working with people at all levels of an organisation & helping to make safety practical rather than just paperwork-driven. Supporting teams, building relationships & seeing improvements in safety culture is really rewarding. I also enjoy the variety of the role, from visiting operational sites & speaking with people, to developing systems & processes that genuinely support the business. I also value the flexibility it brings to be present at home & carry out the school runs.
I enjoy being outdoors, particularly walking & running in the local area especially along the coastline. I’m passionate about travelling & experiencing different cultures, but I also love being at home in comfortable clothes with a good series. I love music & enjoy attending live music events. I regularly take part in local events & like supporting what’s happening in the Lowestoft & Great Yarmouth area. I also enjoy reading, playing UNO & spending time with family & friends.
Coffee, definitely not tea.
I’m very good at encouraging people to sign up to running events, even if they regret it half way round. Also, watermelon & cheese go really well together. Try it.
Georgia
I have been working in health & safety for two years now, supported by a further three-year background in construction industry health & safety training. While I am still early in my career, I bring a fresh perspective, strong enthusiasm & a real drive to learn & develop. I’m fortunate to be part of a supportive team who continue to mentor me, helping me build my knowledge & confidence every day.
My specialties include training matrices, risk assessments & site inspections. I particularly enjoy working closely with teams on site to embed solutions, rather than just tick-box exercises. I have excellent communication skills as well as a knack for colour coding & organisation.
The ability to drive small actions that can make a meaningful difference. I also love the variety the role brings, especially being out & about. I get restless sat down all day every day.
I enjoy going to the gym, running, travelling & spending time with family.
I’m a coffee girl, but it has to be proper coffee, nice & strong with frothy milk in a big mug. I cannot drink tea.
I have a parkrun wristband for 500 Parkruns, but don’t tell anyone I haven’t done anywhere near 500.
Lola
I’m Lola, the official therapy dog here at Immerse Safety.
My main responsibilities include providing unlimited cuddles, ensuring a steady supply of head & belly rubs, plus keeping team morale high, which I take very seriously. I’m also highly experienced in listening, especially when Mum, Carly, spends most of the day talking to herself.
You’ll usually find me close by, keeping an eye on things or accompanying Mum when she needs to step away for some fresh air. I like to think I’m essential to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
I spend most of my time sleeping. But I love being down the beach & being given belly rubs.
Neither. I prefer cuddles, attention & possibly snacks.
I’m here to make sure everyone feels a little calmer, a little happier & well looked after.
