IOSH Working Safely®

IOSH Working Safely® is a one-day, globally recognised course designed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the Chartered body for safety and health professionals.

Working Safely® is for people working at any level, in any sector, in any location worldwide, who need a grounding in the essentials of safety and health. It gives everyone an understanding of why they must work safely and healthily – and does it in an enjoyable way.

Objectives:

By the end of the course, delegates will understand the importance of working safely, be able to identify common workplace hazards and risks, recognise how risks can be controlled, and appreciate the role everyone plays in improving health and safety. They will also understand the importance of reporting incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.

Course Content:

The IOSH Working Safely® course is delivered over one day and combines interactive learning with a short end-of-course assessment. Delegates will gain practical knowledge across the following key topics:

  • An outline of occupational safety and health
  • Defining hazards and risks
  • Identifying common hazards
  • Improving safety performance

Assessment:

To be eligible for an IOSH Working Safely® certificate, delegates must complete:

  • A short multiple-choice test
  • A hazard-spotting exercise

Course Times:

09:00 to 16:00 approx.

Course Cost:

  • In-person: £ 150 +VAT per person, which includes IOSH workbook and accredited certificate.
  • Virtual: £ 125 +VAT per person, which includes IOSH workbook and accredited certificate.
