Fire poses one of the greatest risks in the workplace. Without proper training, staff may be unprepared to respond in an emergency, potentially voiding your insurance. This course equips your team with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively and stay compliant with the Fire Safety Order. This course is also CPD Certified, demonstrating that it meets recognised standards for Continuing Professional Development.

• An overview of how fires start, develop, and spread

• Common causes of fires and effective risk reduction strategies

• The financial and operational impact of fire on businesses

• Understanding fire detection, alarm systems, and early warning procedures

• Types of firefighting equipment, including correct selection and safe use of fire extinguishers

• Key fire safety legislation and employer/employee responsibilities

• Ensuring clear and accessible escape routes are maintained

• Responsibilities and duties of a Fire Marshal before, during, and after an emergency

• How to prepare a Fire Marshal ‘grab pack’ for use in evacuations

• Communicating vital hazard information to emergency services

• Recognising and assisting individuals who may need help evacuating in an emergency

Assessment: The course requires learners to sit a multi-choice consolidation assessment.
