  • Types of firefighting equipment, including correct selection and safe use of fire extinguishers

  • Key fire safety legislation and employer/employee responsibilities

  • Ensuring clear and accessible escape routes are maintained

  • Responsibilities and duties of a Fire Marshal before, during, and after an emergency

  • How to prepare a Fire Marshal ‘grab pack’ for use in evacuations

  • Communicating vital hazard information to emergency services

  • Recognising and assisting individuals who may need help evacuating in an emergency

Assessment: The course requires learners to sit a multi-choice consolidation assessment.
