Understanding fire detection, alarm systems, and early warning procedures
Types of firefighting equipment, including correct selection and safe use of fire extinguishers
Key fire safety legislation and employer/employee responsibilities
Ensuring clear and accessible escape routes are maintained
Responsibilities and duties of a Fire Marshal before, during, and after an emergency
How to prepare a Fire Marshal ‘grab pack’ for use in evacuations
Communicating vital hazard information to emergency services
Recognising and assisting individuals who may need help evacuating in an emergency
Assessment: The course requires learners to sit a multi-choice consolidation assessment.
